Autumnal green tea

12 October 2020
Previously in Japan some green teas were stored after Spring production in ceramic jars on high mountain monasteries during the hot and humid summers. Then as it cooled and the seasons changed the tea jars would be opened and tea was drunk in celebration on Autumn festival days.

To mark the change-over of Helen Mirra’s woven piece in her show ‘la malplena ĉambro estas bela’, and the change of season, we share a cup of green tea.

Postcard Teas is a specialist tea shop in London selling rare varieties, many from small producers who farm less than 15 acres. They were the first tea company in the world to put the maker’s name and location on all their teas.
